Bench School Week 3 Update

Hello again!

Week 3 flew by.

I cried again.

But only once this week.

Pretty good if you ask me.

This week was full to the brim with learning how to polish (without losing a finger or two), set all kinds of stones, create beads from hand, learn how to cup bur, and so much more.

If there’s anything I’ve learned so far, it’s just that there is so much in jewelry that I have to learn. So many materials I will need, so many machines to be bought, and it might take a little longer than 12 weeks for me to *POOF* have a fine jewelry business.

But what’s to come will be this:

I will one day have a fine jewelry business.

I will offer custom pieces, endless settings, wedding bands, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, diamonds and colored stones, gold, silver, or platinum, and I will eventually have a storefront.

For me, business is my real love. I think it’s some of the coolest stuff out there.

I love the ins and outs of business owning.

Jewelry is my second love.

That may make people say, “UGH! It MUST be your first love!”

And to that I say, no. Haha.

Business is, entrepreneurship is.

BUT, so is working with my hands, creating, crafting, sculpting, and design.

So what all incorporates such? Jewelry.

Fine jewelry brings in my love for minimalism, my no-need-to-consume-everything-mindset, and the ability to create something people will carry with them for a LIFE time.

What a gift.

More to come next Saturday.
