Your Dream, Created ∿ Brooke & Jared

Jared said she wanted a sea glass engagement ring.

I had never worked incorporated sea glass in a fine jewelry piece.

Sea glass is the glass pieces you can often times personally find on the beach yourself.

Sea glass is generally made from shards of glass that ends up in the ocean, and after years of tumultuous water and sand, the sea glass appears on shore clean and smooth.

In fine jewelry, jewelers love setting diamonds. They’re hard as any stone can be, and nearly impossible to break.

Colored stones are the ones known to be tricky and more fragile.

When Jared came to me and asked for glass, I knew it would be an exhilarating, but doable challenge.

Brooke has herself a jewelry business and often works with sea glass and has for quite some time.

Living on the west coast in a small beach town, the glass from the sea has become a sweet sentiment for Brooke and it was simply what she dreamed of for her engagement ring.

The ring was a challenge for me creatively, but ultimately came together smoothly and excitedly.

Jared and I designed the setting together and we were so happy to see this stone come to life the way that it has.
